Located in the heart of downtown Belfast, the Belfast Community Co-op has been serving Midcoast Maine since 1976. At the heart of their cooperative grocery store is a team of dedicated leaders committed to ethical shopping, sustainability, and community connection.
From the General Manager to department heads, their staff leadership team brings a people-first, values-driven approach to day-to-day operations, ensuring the Co-op runs smoothly, supports local producers, and stays true to its mission.
Whether it is through the Common Cents program where nonprofits benefit from customers rounding up at the register or partnering with local organizations such as the Belfast Soup Kitchen, the VFW, and others to help get food to those who need it in our community, Belfast Community Co-op helps make nutritious food more affordable.
They also have a Cafe serving wholesome, fresh, local food from grab-and-go lunches and fresh-brewed coffee to sweet bakery treats, they have everything you need for a quick, delicious bite for coffee, breakfast, or lunch, and just to sit and enjoy their beautiful gathering space.
Thank you Belfast Community Co-op for your support of the School Garden of the Month Calendar!
