Help us to promote and support educational gardens in every school in Maine.
What is the most important thing your students learn by participating in their school garden project?
To love the earth. How can we ask them to be caretakers of our world if they don’t fall in love with it first?

Easy Ways You Can Help MSGN!
Although donations rank high among our greatest needs to carry out our mission to promote and support youth gardens in Maine, not everyone has extra cash to donate at this time of year…so check out the following suggestions for ways you can help!
- Use PayPal? Sign up for the PayPal Giving Fund and use your option to donate $1 by selecting MSGN as your charity when you make a purchase.
- If you own a business or sell something of interest to school gardeners, give a discount to school gardens with a listing in our Welcome Packet for school gardens in the Garden Directory.
- Share your hard earned gardening and teaching wisdom and write an article for our monthly newsletter. Check out our 2024 themes!
- View and share our new 5 minute VIDEO!!! View It
- Join a committee and volunteer at an event like Maine School Garden Day in May or our Annual Meeting in November.
- Watch for updates on when MSGN is the charity of the month for Hannaford’s Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquets or Community Bags or Shaw’s Give Back Where It Counts Bag Program for stores in your area in 2024 and make a purchase!
- Make a cash donation to our Annual Appeal. No gift is too small!
- Sponsor an event such as Maine School Garden Day or our Annual Meeting.
- Join the Board of Directors and attend bimonthly Zoom meetings on Tuesdays 10 am – 12 noon.
