The Maine DOE is offering 2024 Maine Outdoor Learning Initiative (MOLI) grants to provide programming opportunities to support student learning recovery. These grants support hands-on, interdisciplinary outdoor learning and career exploration opportunities that connect students with Maine’s amazing natural bounty.
With massively expanded eligibility, many schools and organizations will find that they meet the criteria to apply. Eligibility has been dramatically expanded to include all SAUs, EUTs, charter schools, CTEs, private and nonprofit organizations, approved private schools located in Maine, municipal Park and Recreation Departments that are current members of the Maine Recreation and Park Association, and public libraries.
In addition to enhancing and increasing programming, awardees may use the 2024 MOLI grant (funded by ARP GEER) to bridge the budget shortfall for existing activities and programming. Programming can take place before, during, or after school; on weekends; during school breaks and/or over the summer.
