Check out the new MSTA logo that celebrates Maine through the historical Maine flag!
The Maine Science Teachers Association (MSTA) is a group of dedicated educators who work together to bring great science education to Maine’s students. MSTA works to connect, inform, support and advocate Maine educators by hosting webinars, recognizing excellent formal and informal educators with our Philip Marcoux and Louis P. Lambert awards plus offer a conference.
Check out their website to find out more about the group and plan to attend their engaging, celebratory, STEM-filled biannual conference, where school garden coordinators would find numerous resources to help them enrich their school garden programs. School garden presentations would be a welcome session at their upcoming spring 2026 conference or perhaps in a MSTA hosted webinar.

Their board using a multi-tiered process settled on the winning logo created by Audrey Welch, an incoming seventh grader at Falmouth Middle School. “Audrey’s design beautifully captures both the spirit of Maine and the essence of science education. It’s inspiring to see a young learner represent the future of STEM in our state through creativity and meaning. We are proud to feature her work as the new face of our association.” shared MSTA’s President, Tonya Prentice,
