Johnny’s mission is helping families, friends, and communities feed one another by providing superior seeds, tools, information, and service. The employee-owned company is committed to assisting agricultural and horticultural nonprofit organizations with programs that align with its mission. Areas of support include land access and preservation, new farmers, agrarian equity, food sovereignty, and healthy eating for young students.
We encourage educators and school gardeners to participate in Johnny’s Community Requests program by submitting a request for an in-kind gift. Your students can participate in creative learning by planting seeds, growing fresh produce, and gaining a better relationship with healthy food. Thousands of students in Maine and across the country participated in Johnny’s Learning Gardens last year!
