When was your garden project started?
The programs currently at the Tanglewood site in Lincolnville began in 1982. Gardening education has been a cornerstone of our programs throughout our history in some way.

Tanglewood is part of Camden Hills State Park with programming through the University of Maine Cooperative Extension and 4-H

school and summer camp programs

Who volunteers in your garden?
no one at the moment
How is your garden project funded?
internal fundraising and small grants
What community connections do you have?
We work closely with local schools and partners in our programs.
Who tends the garden when school’s out?
Our garden becomes part of the summer camp program at Tanglewood.
What are your future goals?
We would love to build a volunteer network (Master Gardeners perhaps) who would be interested in taking our gardens on as a project.
What is your most significant need?
Volunteers and time! Protection from hungry porcupines, too!
