So many! Community connections include a school-based garden committee, a Garden Champion team at the district level, a Farm to School team, as well as close partnerships with Roberts Farm Experiential Learning, and Alan Day Community Garden. The Oxford Hills is bustling with outdoor learning!
Who tends the garden when school’s out?
Last summer there was a team of high school interns who tended to the school gardens throughout the entire district
What are your future goals?
To embed the garden program and outdoor learning in the preK-6 curriculum; to deepen garden to cafeteria connections; to foster student’s sense of place and belonging
