What programs does your garden project include?
We have “Garden Class” at our school as part of students’ regular arts rotation (gym, art, music, library, makers space, and garden classes). I teach a science-based class focused on the earth, plants, animals, and environmental literacy.

How is your garden project funded?
through Donors Choose donations, and our partnership with Cultivating Community. Occasionally, grants programs are utilized for specific projects like building additional garden beds.
What community connections do you have?
Cultivating Community, Food Fuels Learning, as well as connections to the Wabanaki Studies program district wide.

What are your future goals?
to make our program sustain itself as long as possible
What is your most significant need?
Materials to build and repair raised garden beds. Equipment for games (cones, balls, jerseys, etc.) and outdoor education activities (tents, fishing poles, binoculars, etc.), we also have a high need for sketchbook journals to allow all 500 students to observe and record natural processes in a personalized keepsake.
