School Garden of the Month Calendar
Fundraiser Request for Entries!
We’re excited to announce the 2026 School Garden of the Month Calendar, a great way to raise funds for your school garden projects!
Twelve schools will be selected and featured as School Garden of the Month throughout the year. Each of these schools will also be eligible for the School Garden of the Year title and a spot on the calendar cover!
This calendar not only helps raise money, it also showcases the valuable role school gardens play in hands-on education, gardening and promoting healthy eating. It’s a perfect way to engage teachers, administrators, and community members, inspire other schools to start their own gardens and provide thank-you gifts for local supporters.
Here’s how you can participate!
Enter high resolution photographs of your school garden!
We need really great photos suitable for printing to make this calendar a success!
- Please submit your calendar entry with up to 5 high resolution photos via our form.
- You will be asked to fill out an entry form and upload your photos.
- Your school garden must be registered in our Garden Directory.
- Deadline to enter your photographs: January 15th, 2025.
Sell the calendars and earn money for your school garden projects!
Whether your school is featured in the calendar this year or not, this is an opportunity for your school garden to raise funds!
- You can purchase calendars at a wholesale price of $10 each. With a suggested retail price of $15 each, for every calendar you sell, you make $5!
- We will supply you with a sample calendar and form to take orders and payments beginning in May.
- After you submit your order and payment, you can request to pick it up at an MSGN event, at a designated location TBD near you or have your order shipped to you. Picking up calendars saves MSGN money so if you can, please pick up your calendars.
- Deadline to order calendars with payment for Annual Meeting pickup: September 15, 2025. If you would like to get your calendars earlier, please email susan@msgn.org.

Important and Deadlines:
JANUARY 15, 2025: Calendar Entry Deadline for photographs
MAY 2025: Calendar sample and order forms will be available at Maine School Garden Day
SEPTEMBER 15, 2025: Calendar orders including prepayment due for pickup at Annual Meeting, at a local business near you or shipped to your school.
