Cooperatively owned and operated since 1978, Fedco Seeds specializes in gardening, farming and orchard supplies from their warehouses in Clinton, ME. Fedco started as a few neighbors working together in the winter to save money on quality seeds for their gardens. Over the next decade, they added to their lineup heirloom fruit trees, seed garlic, flowerbulbs, seed potatoes, and a full array of organic growing supplies. Almost fifty years since that first small seed order, Fedco now operates year round, serving gardeners and growers across the US and Canada, with 150 workers cooperating to fill more than 60,000 orders annually.
Fedco produces three iconic annual catalogs that are jam-packed with growing information and illustrations. In the Seeds & Supplies catalog, you’ll find a wide selection of vegetable, herb and flower varieties. For spring-planted fruit trees, shrubs and perennials, check out the Trees Catalog. Fall-planted Bulbs Catalog will come out in May.
Every year, Fedco donates seeds and other goods to small groups and organizations working on education, food security and food sovereignty, and more. Donation guidelines, timelines, and a link to request a donation of goods can be found below.
Fedco Seeds is a sponsor of MSGN’s School Garden of the Month series donating a box of complimentary seeds to each participating school as well as a Sponsor of the Month for the 2027 School Garden of the Month Calendar.
