What are your future goals?
We are working on revitalizing and expanding our growing space, to be used as a learning tool and part of the curriculum, as well as getting more produce in the cafeteria. We are hoping to build a team of community members who can keep the garden running over the summer, as well as expand the composting system to include cafeteria food waste.
What is your most significant need?
We are in need of myriad donations including: child-friendly garden supplies (gloves, watering cans, buckets, trowels, hand rakes, etc), materials for a drip-irrigation system, dirt and compost, seeds, seeding trays, and cooking supplies (bowls, mortar and pestel, child-safe knives, cutting boards). We also are always in need of volunteers–all year!
