Students, families, local community members

How is your garden project funded?
Right now the teaching position is working through Foodcorps, but in the future will hopefully be budget funded. Lots of grants and Foodcorps funds have helped build up and fund the physical garden space.

What community connections do you have?
Belfast garden club, Waldo County Tech Center, Troy Howard Middle School, Belfast Co-op, Hannaford, Waldo County Bounty, Bahner Farm, Villageside farm

Who tends the garden when school’s out?
Foodcorps service member and volunteers

What are your future goals?
To have a full time, district funded Garden Coordinator position, to figure out a better system for watering, installing more permiculture into the garden and making more community connections for summer support

What is your most significant need?
Funding for a full time position.
