What are your future goals?
The garden will be used by each grade level to extend their curriculum. Students are presently helping complete areas being used by their grade level. When finished grade PK and K will use the logs and stones lining 2 paths to study insects, grade 1 will study birds that visit the garden birdfeeders, bird nests, and water, grade 2 will study the created biomes(desert, grassland, tundra, and ocean), grade 3 will study weather at the weather station, the older grades will study the plant varieties as well as deciduous versus evergreen plants. There is also a sun dial and map compass that goes with grade 5 shadows study. This is all in the works. We also want a teacher station in the gazebo and a book lending library kiosk. We are also developing a sensory garden area.
What is your most significant need?
Plant materials and wood materials.
