What programs does your garden project include?
We currently have a unified arts class for 7th and 8th graders, that is a hands-on experiential learning class. It takes place in the outdoor classroom/greenhouse. We also have a STARS (students taking alternate routes to success) class that takes care of the garden and built the outdoor classroom, pizza oven, and raised beds. We also have an after school gardening club.

No

Hannah Bailey (BMS Art/STARS teacher) Jessica Carter (BMS Health teacher), Gwen Murphy (BMS 8th grade science) Kent Burnham (7 grade science) Beth Dickie (Assistant Principal/Applied Learning Lab Teacher)
How is your garden project funded?
Through the RREV grant we received through the DOE.

JMG, Aspire, parent volunteers

Hannah Bailey, Jessica Carter, Gwen Murphy, Kent Burnham, Beth Dickie
What are your future goals?
We would like to complete the space, it is unfinished at the moment. We believe we will have fish in the aquaponics tank by the end of this month if everything goes well. We also need a storage solution that is being built currently. Our big goal is for all students to tend to the space and be able to experience hands-on learning in all classes and content areas.
What is your most significant need?
Time, and to finish the space, and a solid schedule on how to sustain and maintain the space.
